Fernley Road Church is the "working name" of Boundary Street Evangelical Church which has existed for over 100 years. However, the local authority decided to change the name of the road to Banastre Road in honour of a local resident. In addition, renovations to the Church building resulted in the main entrance being re-sited on to Fernley Road. The name of the Church has been changed but the message remains the same.
